American depository receipts of Asian stocks were trading 0.78% lower at 148.72 on the Bank of New York Mellon Asia ADR Index on Monday.
In North Asia, the gainers were led by solar equipment maker SPI Energy (SPI), and mobile enterprise solutions provider Kingtone Wirelessinfo Solution (KONE), which climbed 4.9% and 2.7% respectively. They were followed by Chinese steel company Ossen Innovation (OSN), and commercial real estate firm GDS Holdings (GDS), which rose 2.3% each.
The decliners in North Asia were led by fables semiconductor company Himax Technologies (HIMX), and ReneSola (SOL), a provider of energy-efficient products, shed 7% and 4.7% respectively. They were followed by Jumei (JMEI), an online retailer of beauty products, down 3.9%, and electronics and entertainment company Sony (SNE), off 3.6%.
In South Asia, the gainers were led by IT company Infosys (INFY), and Philippines telecommunications provider PLDT (PHI), which were up 0.7% and 0.2% respectively. They were followed by pharmaceutical company Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories (RDY), and direct-to-home video provider Videocon d2h (VDTH), each of which edged 0.1% higher.
