Hope Bancorp reported Q4 net income of $0.30 per diluted share, compared with $0.29 a share a year earlier. The average of estimates on Capital IQ was for $0.32 a share.
Excluding merger-related expenses, core net income would have been $0.31 per share compared with $0.30 in Q4 2015.
Revenue comprised of noninterest income and net interest income before provision for loan losses was $135 million, while the Street’s view was for $139.6 million. A year ago, it was $82.8 million. Hope’s board also declared a dividend of $0.12 a share, payable on Feb. 17 to investors on record by Feb. 3.
